  1. RUN
    good 5 5 mi 00:42 08:19 pace

    hot

  2. RUN
good Mile intervals 3.5 mi 00:26 07:26 pace

1 mile warmup, then plan was to do three 1 mile intervals at faster than 5K pace with 60 seconds rest in between each. Only made it through 2 1/2, but did keep them all faster than my last 5K pace.

  3. RUN
    great Easy 8 8.08 mi 01:13 09:01 pace

Been looking forward to this run because it doesn't involve bridges or puke threshold intervals...heh! Also loving my new pair of bright blue Merrell Bare Access 2 shoes.

  4. RUN
    great 1/2mi intervals 5.01 mi 00:39 07:42 pace

    1mi warmup then .5mi @ 6:45P, .25mi recovery x 5, then cooldown

  5. RUN
great Bridge repeat loop 6.01 mi 00:54 08:58 pace

3mi warmup, then 5 bridge crossings. Averaged 8:30/mi over the 5 bridge crossings....a new best for me.

  6. RUN
    great Easy 8 8.03 mi 01:18 09:42 pace

    Easy, relaxing pace

  7. RUN
great Color me rad 5K 3 mi 00:30 10:00 pace

More fun run than race. Estimating time since it wasn't a timed run. Super fun throwing color bombs and getting covered in color though!

  8. RUN
    alright Intervals 5.01 mi 00:43 08:33 pace

Only made it through 3 of 5 planned intervals: .5mi @6:30P, .25mi @ recovery pace. Sun got to me and I reeled it in after 3 and ran the last 2 miles at an easy pace.

alright Bridge repeats loop 6 mi 00:54 08:56 pace

Bridge repeats are a lot harder when its warm out. 3mi warmup, 5 bridge repeats, .5 cool down.

  10. RUN
    great Chamber challenge 5K 3.11 mi 00:22 06:59 pace

21:47. First 5K in over 2 years. The last time I did a 5K, I injured my Achilles and couldn't run for 3 months so I stayed away from them. Told myself to run even 7's and hold it and that... read more

That's pretty good! The bridge work is what did it. Just as good as fast stuff.

I think ill add some speed work in addition to the bridge every week and try another 5K in a month to see the difference.

Definitely enjoying it. Just recently tried trails for the first time and it sure is a good workout for the legs and feet, working muscles I didn't know I had!
