      Eh, that's unfortunate, but not your fault! Maybe just a rough day for him, maybe a late night, maybe, as you say, unawareness of limitations. I'm sure all your participants appreciate the intensity!

      I'd bet you are spot on about a late night or something. My fear ... is that he will give up. That would be the worst thing. I try and be encouraging ... we all have tougher days.

      My favorite spin instructor is the one who pushes me harder than I will ever push myself. The ones who coddle & say "do this if you want or do whatever you feel like..." are the ones who's class I will skip.
