First speed workout in the Newtons felt great, but I am spectacularly beat.
Of the mileage that I've done this one felt the most natural in the shoes. Maybe it's because I was too worried about not keeling over to micromanage form.
Did I mention that I'm tired? I don't know how you speedy folks can do the pace of my paltry three intervals in everyday runs.
Nice to see you back out there Jamye!
4 months agoMan, 2 weeks is tough to have to sit on the sidelines. You sound like you are going to take it slow coming back, which is absolutely the right thing to do. A lot of people would try to pick right back up (probably me included) and end up with an injury. I hope you find that your body is still feeling good, and you are pleasantly surprised at what you can still accomplish this year. I hope you are still planning to go complete the marathon on 11/29 - I think you still have that in you.
