I'm really not a fan of taper runs. Felt like the 12 mile run was a 20 mile run. Felt pretty tired running today.

Taper doesn't necessarily mean it's easy, it just means it isn't 20 miles and so you won't be completely knackered tomorrow. I often feel tired on taper runs, meaning I need some rest, and since you're not doing 20 miles you're getting that rest whether it feels like it or not. :)

Run went well until the last half mile when my ankle starting hurting so much I could hardly walk. This is not a good sign when on my taper.
