Although I don't have quite the mileage habit that you do, I also miss it very much. Hang in there you'll be back before you know it!

I understand fully. While you might love running vast distances as I did when I was younger, please be careful lest you end up with plastic joints like me. I averaged over 20 miles per day for 10 years. Just way to much for the human body to handle. At least some of us as my good doctor who happens to be my wife reminds me as I hobble through my weekly mileage pittance. Not giving advice just conveying my experience. Everyone is different. Keep your chin up. You will be back, rested & ready.

I get it Jason, I dealt with the same feelings during the late summer as I was injured and told to not run and stay off my bike. It's like taking a part of who you are away and its very difficult to function completely like that. Best wishes as we are all looking forward to seeing you back very soon. Take care.

I am nowhere the kind of runner you are but I have been struggling with bursitis in my hip since March. The one thing that made the MOST difference in getting me back on track (besides biking and not running which sucked) was accupuncture.. Have you considered adding something in to help the pain while you start back in slowly?
