First official long run post-marathon and it was awesome! I'm sure it was the cooler temps, but I ran with a group that's slightly faster than I usually run...and kept up! Well, I kept up for the first 8.5 miles at a 10:05 min/mi average...and kept up the conversation...then my knee started acting funny (again), so I slowed it down a bit and took it a little easier back in. I'm so pumped. This was definitely a confidence booster run as my goal is to continue to run faster. With a little speedwork and training, I'm confident this could be my new long run pace before long. :)
