great Sunny Saturday! 8.02 mi 01:32 11:26 pace

Day 152. What a glorious morning for a run! The temperatures are rising and the snow is mostly melted on the rail trail. Had a great run with Rebecca this morning. Our last long run of the training cycle, and the first single-digit distance in what seems like forever. We were able to take a few segments of single-track through the woods off the WBRT. I was so excited to run on the second stretch that I started pulling away at a blazing 8:50something pace through the woods and left R behind. After a few minutes I began to worry she got lost in the woods. Then I saw her weaving through the pines just when I was about to turn back and go find her. Turns out she actually did get lost, and had to backtrack to the trail :)

With the exception of the parts of the trail in the woods, and where I had to slow down to let R catch-up, we had some great splits (good times for R) - 10:51, 10:12, 10:16, 10:36, 10:29, 12:28, 15:28, 10:33. We discussed Boston and our plans for race day, including the name I'm going to put on my shirt. I won't divulge it now, but I can guarantee it will be hilarious and surreal to have people shouting this on race day.

All in all, a great morning. I hope you each have a fantastic Saturday! Run Happy!
