Day 145.

What a gorgeous morning for a run. Rebecca and I enjoyed a bright sunny day with warm temperatures for our taper twelve miler. She chose the course, and it was a somewhat hilly one. Despite my urging her to slow down and enjoy the taper, she paced right around 11:00 minute miles throughout, with the exception of one mile in the woods on very snowy trails. The type where your foot sinks in up to your calf and the ground underneath is unpredictable if not uneven. That lap was around 17:30 :)

My ankle felt great, a little calf tightness here and there but a generally very nice slow run. Focused a bit on form and engaging the core. We were out for a while, so the conversation went all over the place as you might imagine.

Back at the house now. Gotta get cleaned up, having a small belated birthday party for my son, who turned 4 a couple of weeks ago but was too sick to have his party then.
