Day 131.

NIce and slow, very controlled run with Rebecca this morning. Set the Garmin HR alert for 140 and actually listened when it started beeping. Ran a new route today, which was nice. The first 8.5 were rolling hills, mostly uphill. The last few were the exact opposite, and I enjoyed flying down Union St thinking - "man, if I mis-step here, this is gonna hurt!".

After the race we stopped at the corner convenience shop to grab drinks. The clerk asked us what we had done for distance, and then asked me "Aren't you that guy that runs with those finger/frog shoes when its warmer?". I guess the VFFs are quite memorable :)

Achilles felt OK today, although toward the end of the run my calf was tightening up. Some stretching now, and maybe even an ice bath. A few "rest" days and I should be feeling up to next weekend's 20 miler.
