Day 115.

I had more than one reason to just stop the streak this morning. Terrible sleep last night - went to bed late, and then my daughter was up sick. My left achilles and calf were barking at me as soon as I rolled out of bed. I had a headache, and my sinuses were pounding. My stomach was upset and the temperature had dropped to single digits again.

It was going to be a terrible, horrible, no good very bad day.

Blergh. It's not what goes wrong, it's how you react that counts.

Out and back over rolling hills. I really wanted to run sub-9 but couldn't muster it, until the last mile. What started out as an exercise in determination turned into a decent progression run: 10:24, 09:41, 09:10, 09:07, 08:39.

I'm exhausted, my stomach is still upset, and I'll definitely need to stretch the achilles and calf later. But I feel better having ran. I always do.

My mom says that some days are like this, even in Australia.

Happy Friday Eve everyone!

Like the hills, some runs are up and some are down. You got it though. Nice effort.

With everything going on...all the reasons not to...all you needed was one reason to do it. That is the way it goes sometimes. I admire your dedication. Great job on the run! Hope you feel better.

And the cat wanted to sleep with Chloe, not with you.

Maybe you should just wear the white shoes.

i would say you reacted perfectly, with a run! so many people would've thrown in the towel and given up the streak today, glad to see you stayed tough and got out there! now go feel better:)

Amazing! So happy to hear this - really a testament to how running can just make things seem better. Hope you're feeling better by tonight (or I guess if you're in Aus it already is night?!) - keep up the awesome work!
