  1. RUN
    great 3.1 mi 00:38 12:15 pace

First day of gateway to 8k. did fast pace intervals at 5.5 mph on the treadmill since it was my first run in 1.x weeks.

  2. RUN
    good 3.8 mi 00:45 11:47 pace

    Much better run today.

  3. RUN
    tired 3.3 mi 00:35 10:36 pace

First run after my long run the other day, and i don't think i'd recovered yet really. Also, I hit the hr cruise control at a moment when my hr had been sensed lower (jumped from 147 to 143 in a fl... read more

  4. RUN
great clear creek run 4.65 mi 00:48 10:14 pace

Really humid, but this was my longest run in a decade! Felt good, I probably could have gone a bit farther, but I was drenched, and needed some dinner.

  5. RUN
    great 3.73 mi 00:42 11:20 pace

No headphones, so no music :-( started out at 6mph and ended up around 4.8 after 35minutes. but I did the first 15 at 5.8-6 and then let the cruise control kick in and drive me down to the 5.2-5.7 ... read more

  6. RUN
    great Treadmill 3.42 mi 00:40 11:41 pace

spent 40 min on the treadmill this time, but rather than setting heart rate cruise, I controlled it. Thought this might make it so I didn't stress about the pace as much. Didn't go as fast (5.8-5.5... read more

  7. RUN
    great 3.05 mi 00:35 11:28 pace

Better than the last run, although my hr/pace wasn't as good as the last.

  8. RUN
    great 2.92 mi 00:35 11:59 pace

It was really rewarding to see my pace climb up to 6.5mph while keeping my heart going 147bpm. But it seems like at about 1.8mi I hit a major wall, not in terms of how I feel, but how my heart keep... read more

Great job, Adam! I'm glad you joined the challenge to run 650 miles by the end of the year. It is definitely doable if you are consistent and listen to your body. A hrm is a really great tool that I bet you'll enjoy. (I need to get myself a new one!) Best of luck in the challenge!

  10. RUN
    great 2.47 mi 00:28 11:14 pace

wk7 of c25k podrunner series. During the run I kept feeling a twinge at the top of my right ankle, wondering if my laces were too tight. ran through it and felt good. maybe need to stretch more rig... read more

  11. RUN
    great 3 mi 00:32 10:39 pace

c25k w6d1 alternating between 5 and 5.5 mph pace for the whole time. At that pace I think I could run for most of an hour. Trying to work on my form so I land on toes or midfoot. Also continued sup... read more

I did a version of couch to 5K last summer. You're doing well. I think the key at this point is being consistent about working out and not worrying much about distance and speed. Focus more on how your body gets used to it. My 5K took me 10 weeks to get to (mid Sept. 2009). Good luck!
