  1. RUN
good Albany Lakes Race 2 10 km 00:44 07:00 pace

Like the other DMs at the Lakes I beat my race 1 time with a new 10k PB. Strange thing is I didn't feel as fast as last time. The cooler weather helped. The rest of the family improved their 5k tim... read more

  2. RUN
great Waiake and Long Bay 10.04 km 00:55 08:49 pace

A bit different this morning. Along the coast from long bay to the cliff road steps then to waiake. I have decided that I'll be wearing my smooth soled old shoes on the coastal challenge. They grip... read more

  3. RUN
good Waiake and Long Bay 10.04 km 00:51 08:12 pace

Lots of people with dogs on Long Bay this morning. There was another runner on the beach who started 200m ahead of me which forced me to lift the pace for 700m until I caught and passed him. :-)

  4. RUN
good Coastal Run to Castor Bay and... 22 km 02:15 09:52 pace

Fun outward leg with a high tide and felt good running back along the walkway.

  5. RUN
good Long Bay Beach 2 7.74 km 00:42 08:43 pace

Grey, windy and warm. Refreshing after a sticky night

  6. RUN
good Waiake and Long Bay 10.04 km 00:50 08:01 pace

Great run with a sun rise and two beaches

  7. RUN
good Long Bay to Winstones Cove

A walk with the dog turned into a rock hopping run. The recent sun has killed off most of the slippery slime so was able to get some speed up on the rocks. Question: To run with no socks or wet socks?

Great run, I love running around the east coast bays beaches, did a lot when I was a kid but haven't done it in ages. I hate wearing my shoes without socks, wet cotton or even cotton blend socks are a disaster, maybe some good acryllic ankle socks?

Woohoooo! Nice PB, Ad - huge congratulations! I must have seen you zooming past me at some point (the first runners started lapping me before I even hit the 4k mark, but such is life when you're a slow-and-steady type!)

Well done Ad. You said you hoped to go under 45! Maybe if you start near the front for Race 2 and save getting caught in traffic. I thought you must have been way back when I first saw you in the stadium carpark.
