My running buddy, Richard, recommend me to follow the LESS-IS-MORE marathon training from the Furman Institute. http://www2.furman.edu/sites/first/Documents/Marathon%20Training%20Program-metric.pdf . I tough 3 times running a week for the last 16 weeks prior to the marathon. Today was the first training 13.1miles at marathon pace + 19 sec. I decided just to keep it under 8 minutes along the sandy trail of meijendel. Consider alcohol and sleep over the week-end (too much of one and too little of the other) the heart beat was high, but I felt comfy all the way. Happy with the first training..while dreading at the same time how the next ones are going to look like!!!

    Mr. Alain, I just saw your goals for 2012....WOW!. Sub 11 hrs. in IM, that's impressive!. Let me know how this less is more training goes, I am intrigued!
