      Zoe! I'm thinking about doing the Adirondack Marathon in September, it will be my first full marathon. That'll be plenty of time for you to get faster/ stronger :)

      Hi Zoe! I think you're running many more miles right now than you were at this point last year? if so, I think you might be overtraining a bit. This is probably part of the reason you feel "sluggish" at a lower speed than you're used to. My suggestion is to take a stepback week (maybe half the mileage you're running now) and then do a fast workout or a race and see how you feel. You may find you're actually far better trained than you think you are! At that point, then decide on the spring marathon!

      Great advice everyone! I think my mileage last year at this time was about the same as it is now (5-6 a day) but maybe a week with less mileage would be good for me. I think I'm gonna try the Jones 10 miler race later this month and see how I feel. Thanks again for the advice!

      I had that happen to me last year during marathon training--just lasted a day or two. I used plenty of ice while resting. Hope it feels better for you soon!

      I was so ready to do the Jone's this year (it is the last weekend in Feb), but I have an opportunity go to northern Maine that weekend- camping, hiking, etc, so I have to miss it!
