RUN
great Granville Island to 2nd Beach... 10.3 km 01:02 09:43 pace
Pleased with how this went, maintained my target marathon pace the whole run. Had many moments where I had to force myself to slow down, so I think this will be a very manageable pace to maintain o... read more

RUN
good Tempo run on the seawall 14.5 km 01:19 08:46 pace
Maybe had a couple too many drinks last night...I felt dehydrated and it made itself real obvious during this run. So I cut my route short as I didn't want any calf cramping to occur, and real... read more

I'm doing the half @ RFW. It's pretty good. Cheap and close which is a big draw for me.

Don't be fooled by my insane mileage this week (101km). 35km of that was intended for last weekend but got bumped to this past Monday. So a condensed workout week yes! I'm tired!
-
101km in the span of 7 days-- that is an incredibly impressive feat! wowza! I hope you are resting and basking in the awesomeness that is you!

RUN
good Coal Harbour to Spanish Banks... 35 km 03:49 10:32 pace
I had planned a 38km run, but this was all I wanted to do in the end....I started the run quite tired - legs weren't sore, just lethargic and I couldn't stop yawning. LOL. It was a humid ... read more

RUN
alright Tempo run on the seawall 16 km 01:30 09:00 pace
This was not a good run at all. My coach wanted me to do 24km but I knew going in that I was feeling tired and perhaps a bit dehydrated after quite the long week (i.e, no weekend for me last weeken... read more

Wow! That is one fast 16km run! 5:35 pace?! Fantastic! Sorry to hear you were feeling blah. That is incredible that you ran 16km so soon after a 35km run! You are one amazing woman, that's for sure!

Pool at my temporary Coal Har... 1600 m 00:45 45:15 pace
I'm guessing it's a 25m pool, so I think I swam a mile, but I'm not 100% sure. Took it an easy pace since I ran 35km yesterday and have my interval run tomorrow morning. So nice swim... read more

RUN
good Stanley Park seawall, English... 35 km 03:52 10:40 pace
With this run, I've now surpassed 800km for 2013 so far. But I knew this run was going to be a bit rough as my legs were exhausted even before starting this run after a long week of working ov... read more

hmmm interesting! Coconut Water you say? I've been putting more of that into my diet too lately & I'm noticing feeling a lot better in a hot yoga class or run when I do. Interesting. That said, my face was COVERED in salt post BMO half, it actually stung when I put water on my face because of all the salt running into my eyes. Do you have any other electrolyte tips?

I've been having sodium/electrolyte issues as of late...thanks for posting this and letting us know about it. I'm going to have to try some. I couldn't figure out (lots of water - too much actually) why I was in so much pain - I was flushing out electrolytes. You did awesome on your run though. I'd love to be able to marathon at a 10:00 pace. Whats your PR and what training plan do you use if you don't mind me asking?

RUN
great Kamloops Boogie the Bridge Ha... 21.12 km 02:02 09:17 pace
Treated this as a training run but after first few kms of warming up, I decided to turn up the heat. Gravel section was tough and lost time and last uphill section too but a strong finish. :)

Makes me smile when I reach the top of the leaderboard among my DM friends, even if it's temporary. I can only assume that I'm peaking and everyone else is tapering, but whatever :)
