    Rocked the first two miles, took an extended walk in the middle to figure out music, and then alternated quicker pace and more walking on way back. Temps near 80, high humidity.

      Nice! Keep it up! Time on feet is most important, don't worry about pace. Bring a bottle of water for 45+ min runs in the heat. A small 8oz-12oz bottle can work well w/o being too heavy (good for getting used to carrying something in a hand).
