      I'll look for you there. I will maintain both Strava and DM for a while, as I do all my entries manually anyway. When I move and have finished clearing out the crap I own, I might venture to spend some money on a toy, such as a GPS watch, but basically I am trying to get rid of as much crap as possible and don't want a toy. As for my records, to me it's more interesting to read the comments, than worry about my training record. DM doesn't make it easy to look back at those.

      I always found really long training runs to be so boring that I was desperate to finish them... it will be a while before I contemplate Marathon training again if ever. My congrats on getting this done.

      Long training runs can be boring, but generally for me, only if I work them "like a job." If I am enjoying the surroundings, as if going on a running tour, it's wonderful to be able to run long. Not always accomplished, but that's the goal!

      True, if you enjoy the surroundings... my area is under massive development and is just a hideous wasteland full of maniacal motorists ... I do not like to drive somewhere to run, but it's becoming apparent that if I am ever going to run long for training again it cannot be in my home area.

      Excellent article. I have had so many arguments with family about it being "too cold" to run and blah blah blah, and I have tried to argue many of these points back. My cold weather gear is very much in point these days and even when I arrive home completely frosty on the outside I am actually very toasty and yet people still think I'm crazy. 🙄 😏

      Which is colder? A well digger's heel or a witch's titty? they were interchangeable in my family when I was growing up, just used for different audiences. I never figured out the answer

      The right clothing makes all the difference in the world. If you get it right and can avoid overheating, you can get out there in almost any cold weather condition. Nice job.
