      @David, I'm rebuilding from a pinched nerve in my lower back so the miles will be low and slow. Once I figure out how to sync my Garmin to my Android tablet, I'll post them. I ran 3 yesterday though. Rest today, try again tomorrow. I REALLY need the kick in the butt..err, DM support :-)

      I think give yourself a break! Maybe think about what you REALLY want to do. Do you really want to do the marathon? If you do, I think the motivation will come!! You still have time...

      sign up for some smaller races in between now and the marathon in October: local 5Ks and 10Ks - this will keep you motivated and its not as daunting as the thought of running 26 miles!

      I would not try to catch up, especially if you are having calf and leg issues. You will get injured even more. If I was you, I would try the higdon program in which it will set you up for the Chicago marathon. Take each run as it goes and see if your body adapts to the longer runs. Just my advice. Good luck!!

      Also take the long runs even slower, walk/run if necessary. The long run is time on your feet.
