    Furniture move! 07:30

Ok, not so much a gym workout as seven and a half hours of moving all of the furniture back into our living areas. Whew! My back and abs got a WORKOUT today!

    good Bikram light 00:45

Bikram easy series, in a room at "normal" temperature. A nice stretch after yesterday's hard core workout.

    good Workout with trainer 00:30

Worked myself to exhaustion, but in a good way. Finally figuring out how to do pull-ups such that I'm getting my back engaged instead of just my shoulders and arms. Good stuff!

    alright Treadmill 1.51 mi 00:20 13:14 pace

My shin on the left side cramped up again. And I'm really noticing how much harder I'm landing on my left foot than my right. You can clearly hear a dramatic difference in the impact on... read more

One leg is usually stronger than the other, you have to work on getting the weaker one stronger. You might try some yoga too. Lots of yoga poses help with leg strength and if you are consistent and stick with it you will balance out over time. I have this problem too and yoga is really helping.

Thanks ladies. Victoria, I agree completely about yoga. I've been getting slowly back into it for the past few months, after a 1.5y hiatus. I love it.

    tired Ice skating 02:30

Amen! Ice skating is one of those things I used to have to endure and I never got even remotely good at it.

I just cannot fathom enduring the pain of those skates long enough to get good at it, or enjoying it once I was good at it if it meant strapping on those pain makers every time. Then again, I'm sure it's like running shoes. Betcha if I got some nice skates, instead of using the rink rentals, it'd be different. That's ok, though. Plenty of other sports for me to try and love :-)

nice job! just stretch, maybe ice? and take it easy. You have tons of time before the 5k. Are you following the C25k program? If not, you may be doing too much, too soon.

Great work, Will. I think you're absolutely on the right track. Don't feel pressure by a canned running program. One size does not fit all. Be guided by how your body feels, if it's strong and feeling good, you're doing it right. And what a terrific TM run!

Thanks very much, Felis. I'm teetering on the edge of "I need to push myself if I'm going to improve" and "I should listen to my body if it's saying slow down." Hard to know which way to lean sometimes. :-)

Nice! I like my new shoes :-) No pain under my foot, and the bruised heel I gave myself yesterday (moving furniture) didn't bother me at all. Wish I'd made time to go longer.
