Spinning was brutal, but in a good way. I wasn't sure going in whether the lethargy I'd been feeling was because I was under the weather or feeling out of shape. Looks like it was the latter, as I'm so glad I went. Good, hard workout. Necessary.
I'm implementing a new approach that includes spin at least twice a week, Jillian at least twice a week. If I can't run right now, I've got to do something to keep active, as I feel absolutely godawful.
OK, here's the deal: I've run once since the half marathon because the knee is still bothering me. Yeah. Two months after it first started bugging me, about six weeks after the half. When I ran the Hot Chocolate 5k in Chicago on 11/1, it hurt the entire time. The knee is still almost every day, sore most. It started to twinge up on me when I was going down the escalator on my way home from spin tonight - and I've been told that cycling shouldn't be a problem.
This sucks. And I'm going back to the doctor on 12/8 to find out what on earth is going on.

hmmm, where in the knee is the pain? That is weird for a lock up after being on a bike, but spinning is extreme biking......keep me posted lady!

Thanks, Christina! And Kim, the pain most of the time is left knee, a spot low on the outside of the knee. Basically, the little divot (if you will) past the kneecap. The stiffness is the knee in general and when I feel those sporadic spasms, it's back of the knee, inside.
