    First time back on the bike after crashing. Started out pretty timid but did okay. Knee hurt during climbs but otherwise body felt alright.

    Longest ride this season. Sadly, it ended with a bad crash at the very end. My first. Put me out of commission for a week. Ugh! But the ride was glorious, if a bit cold, windy, wet and hail-pounded.

    Fast ride with some very fast cyclists (Detlef Schrempf, Jim and Flip Morse, to name a few). Held my own until after the first third of our second loop. Good day to ride around the Woodinville area.

    Pre-swim shower of cold water took my breath away but I forced myself to stay in it until I was rinsed. Practiced four-stroke breathing and three-stroke bilateral breathing. Good solo workout tonight!
