    good Post-swim arms workout 00:15:00

Did I mention I'm back in the boot? I'm back in a boot cast for my sprained foot. But I still did all my upper body lifting, dammit. (This is also from last Sun. & I forgot to post)

  4. swim
    good 22 laps, arms-only 1100 yd

So, I lost my swimming privileges already. Well, kind of. Apparently even something as gentle as swimming was too much for my torn foot muscle, so I've been demoted to pulling, as in, I can sw... read more

Oh no! The boot again? Boo. However, your attitude is something I need to emulate, as I've been very mopey since I busted the ankle Saturday. You rock, girl. Will you be my hero, and can I fawn at your feet? ;-)

I will, and you can! I'll admit it's hard to read about people even doing a PART of a race (let alone a long one) when I haven't been able to run in almost a year now and apparently can't even swim from the waist down, so I truly appreciate you writing this.

awesome Ursula! That's great. I started swimming this summer as a way to cross train. I'm not that good, but I enjoyed it. I learned as a kid, but then stopped after high school gym class. Good for you for getting up and getting a workout in!

Thanks, Ben! I'm still definitely not allowed to run (or bike, or walk much), which means I haven't been doing ANYTHING. I recently got the go-ahead from my dr. to start swimming, but I still didn't because I was so out of exercise mode. Now I've done it TWICE this week! I haven't really done it since HS either. I did 2 triathlons but definitely did not train for them...but I was on the swim team in HS!
