Now that was a long bike ride. Started out feeling solid, riding 15+mph, watching some good semi-decent movies, hit the wall around 3 1/2 hours, faded down to around 14ish mph. cyclocomputer kept putzing out every once in a while, so I got all excited that I could just round up the mileage at the end a little to boost the ego, but no, the OCD had to flare up, and once I got to around 5 1/2 hours, I saw that 90 miles was in reach, so I abandoned the idea of rounding up (so much more rewarding to see that number on a screen), and started hammering around 18 mph, riding a solid 5 minutes past my cut-off time. So I know I rode a little farther and a little faster than this says, but oh well. Frankly I'm just glad I had that burst of energy at the end, because those low points were not doing much for the confidence factor. Then it was time to jump off the bike and head out for the run...

    Thanks, but I'm cautiously holding back on praising any of my training until we see if it all pays off down in Mexico...
