Awesome Trish!! You are such a trooper! When I ruptured two disks (1 year ago) in my back it was like torture when I was told I could not do anything! That's hard for active people like us to hear, isn't it? It got a little better when I was finally able to use the elliptical. However, trying to stay positive helped (as hard as it was sometimes) and I see you are really good at that! So happy that you are closer and closer to using your arm!! Woohoo!

You will be back VERY quickly Trish, just take it a day at a time and don't push it. After my Csection surgery I couldn't even walk the distance between 2 telephone poles without needing a rest. I thought I'd be er run again but it came back quick!!!

Trish, I'm so moved by this. You are so correct. And you exemplify all the things that make running so spectacular: courage, discipline, focus, risk-taking, but also patience. Many runners treat their bodies like machines, rarely giving it the rest it requires. Then they bemoan injuries. Thanks for balancing patience with perseverance. Among the many reasons I'm thankful, is knowing you. God bless & Happy Thanksgiving!

The finish line will not only be the end of a race; it will be the beginning of a new you. You'll be on my mind as you conquer yourself and soar beyond your wildest dreams.
