alright Easy hour 6.61 mi 01:01 09:09 pace

Easy paced hour of running. Felt a bit tired, due to a combo of the race Sunday, the drive back yesterday, and swimming for an hour last night. Feeling good about the weekend now that Charles M. ha... read more

    good Sugarloaf 15k 9.35 mi 01:14 07:52 pace

The race went well, relatively pleased with the time. It's about 45 seconds slower than my 15k in Grande Digue last spring, although this course is probably a bit faster. I finished the first 10k t... read more

  4. RUN
    good A few hills 7.07 mi 01:04 08:59 pace

Ran my hillier route, and included 6 hill sprints of 1 to 1.5 minutes on the steepest hill of the route. Felt almost sick at the end of a couple of them, so at least I know I put in a bit of effort.

  5. RUN
    good Late night 10k 6.24 mi 00:54 08:43 pace

Relatively easy 10k, just a bit faster over the last kilometer to finish it.

  6. RUN
good 8 miles, road plus trails 8.01 mi 01:14 09:13 pace

8 miles, 4 on the roads, and 4 on the trails of Odell Park

  7. RUN
    good Fredericton Marathon 10k 6.26 mi 00:49 07:46 pace

Chip time was 48:44, about 25 seconds faster than the 10k last week, so I guess that's a move in the right direction.

  8. RUN
    good Short + strides 5.13 mi 00:46 08:53 pace

Just a little run with strides to finish. Off to volunteer some time at the race kit pickup for the races tomorrow.

I've been a single Dad the last couple of days with Faith Ann in Ottawa for work, so it was a bit of struggle to find time for this. 20 minute warm up, followed by fartleks of 1/2/3/4/4/3/2/1 minut... read more

Nothing like being single again to increase your running. Ha. Good job. BTW, saw your call for Cabot Trail and ordinarily would have gone for it, but in the middle of buying and selling homes, so even finding times for runs is tough right now.

I hear that race on the tar mat at the airport has lots of hills. Is it true? I thought airplanes needed flat surfaces to land. Just kidding! Hope the race is pain free! :+)

@Rina - This is only the second year for the race, and while I didn't run it last year, I also heard from someone who ran it that it isn't a flat race at all.
