Probably my best run since my half marathon last fall. Rain was scheduled today, but I didn't want any part of 12 miles on a treadmill. Last night I picked up a hooded rain jacket at Target. The Champion stuff they have there is cheap, but not too bad as far as running clothes go. It ended up being a steady drizzle throughout. It wasn't bad to run through. I ran this same route about eight months ago, and got caught in a thunderstorm. It was a disaster, and I had to call for a pickup. This time I killed it. Lots of long, rolling hills, but they didn't bother me today. It was one of those days where everything just felt right. I did a 7:1 ratio throughout with no problem, and had gas to put in another mile for a half if I wanted to, but decided to let progress come slowly. My half PR is 2:17 flat, so I'm not too far off the pace. Have a great day everyone!
