  1. RUN
    alright T.O.U. Half 13.1 mi 02:43 12:26 pace

Just finishing this half was a success. There are reasons I took it slow :) Good reasons..anyway it was a beautiful course and my husband PR'd. Yay for another half in the books.

  2. RUN
    5.3 mi

Suffering major fatigue lately and busy busy busy. I hope I can make it through next weekends half marathon.

I don't think there's much (if any) risk of you not getting through the half marathon. You won't have lost all your fitness since you ran your 9.5 miler a week ago although your pace may have come down slightly. Probs best to think of it as an experiment to see how your body reacts to doing less in the 1-2 weeks before a race. Essentially whatever happens the world will keep on spinning and you'll be no worse off:-)

Downhill canyon run, getting these legs ready for our next race. It was 45 degrees at the start. So refreshing!!

  6. RUN
    good 11 mi

Up & early to meet some friends. We took it easy with a 5.5 mile up the canyon and ran down. Hamstring is still being annoying.

  7. RUN
    good 3.1 mi

    Short run at the gym.

  8. RUN
    great 5 mi

Little shake out run. Quads/hips a little sore from the downhill yesterday, but not as bad as I thought! I was only going to go 3 today, then I decided 4, then I said why not 5.

Great when your run goes so much better than you expect. Great running and way to almost double the distance you set out to do:-)

Finally I got by butt out of bed and met some friends to run at 5:30 this morning. It sure makes a difference before the inferno sets in.

Great effort getting a workout done at that early time. I don't think it ever gets easier to get out of bed at that sort of time but I do generally find that I have a better start to the day when I get some exercise done early.

Just an easy cycle to rest this hamstring pain I've been having since starting back up running from vacation. Not sure if it's due from new shoes or what. I did switch back to my old shoe... read more

Ran indoors today to beat the heat. Love that the Olympic Oval is temperature controlled at 63 degrees. Best part of the run? Running next to Olympian Galen Rupp. We looked at him thinking "... read more

First back from vacation run. I did NO running on vacation and the break was nice, but time to get back at it. This was a run/walk 3 miles up and 3 miles down. Wake up legs!
