    Been blah about running all week, but finally managed to get out the door. Very heavy legs and tight hips...must still be recovering from the half.

      Great work getting out again - in my view it's always good to take things easier after a hard effort during a race but it's also harder to establish the old routine again. 3 days of consecutive activities now though - looks like your on a roll!:-)

    What a beautiful, challenging course! I was happy to at least be under 2:40, and felt great most of the run. I even managed to run most of the 4-7 mile climb with very limited walk breaks.

      I think your likely to do a lot better than your expecting. You managed a 13 miler less than 2 weeks ago and you've kept some regular runs going since. Just try to enjoy the run. You've clocked up the mileage in your legs which proves that physically you're able to get it done.

    This was hard today, really wanted to go 13, but I lasted 11. What started out as a light mist, turned into pouring rain. I think that's the first time I've ran an entire run in rain.

      Great effort with the impromptu half marathon sign up. I always find that I lose running fitness as quickly as I gain it - wish I could store the fitness in a box somewhere and bring it out when I needed it:-) Good luck with the running!:-)
