  1. RUN
    great 4.1 mi

I'm having a really hard time getting out of bed to beat the heat this summer...off to the gym it was! Did some speed work and felt great today.

I'm having the same trouble but great it doesn't stop you from getting something done.

It's all I had in me today. I think new shoes are in order. Still experiencing really tight IT bands.

A 6.5 miler is pretty good if you've got that in you - more than most people can muster! Great effort!

  4. RUN
    good 3.2 mi

Been blah about running all week, but finally managed to get out the door. Very heavy legs and tight hips...must still be recovering from the half.

Great work getting out again - in my view it's always good to take things easier after a hard effort during a race but it's also harder to establish the old routine again. 3 days of consecutive activities now though - looks like your on a roll!:-)

    great 4 mi

Hiking in rocky mountain national park. My legs are sore :)

  6. RUN
Estes Park Half 13.1 mi 02:37 11:59 pace

What a beautiful, challenging course! I was happy to at least be under 2:40, and felt great most of the run. I even managed to run most of the 4-7 mile climb with very limited walk breaks.

  7. RUN
good Windy Run! 3.1 mi 00:36 11:36 pace

This is probably my last run before our destination anniversary half marathon this weekend! I'm trying to keep positive thoughts about the race as miles 3-7 are a gradual climb. I have no des... read more

I think your likely to do a lot better than your expecting. You managed a 13 miler less than 2 weeks ago and you've kept some regular runs going since. Just try to enjoy the run. You've clocked up the mileage in your legs which proves that physically you're able to get it done.

Just a little stroll to downtown with the husband. He makes fun of me because I always have to put my garmin on to track those miles :)

  9. RUN
    alright 11 mi

This was hard today, really wanted to go 13, but I lasted 11. What started out as a light mist, turned into pouring rain. I think that's the first time I've ran an entire run in rain.

  10. RUN
    great 3.2 mi

    Speed work + weights.

  11. RUN

Met a friend for a morning walk. Walkings good, right?

  12. RUN
    good 13 mi

Canyon run with the husband. We haven't ran here in awhile. 6.5 miles UP and 6.5 down. Hopefully I'll be ready for our next race in 2 weeks.

Great effort with the impromptu half marathon sign up. I always find that I lose running fitness as quickly as I gain it - wish I could store the fitness in a box somewhere and bring it out when I needed it:-) Good luck with the running!:-)
