Great return to it Tracy! It's always hardest when starting or returning to the running but you've done it before and you can do it again :-)

good Haunted Half Marthon 13.1 mi 02:31 11:29 pace

Such a last minute decision to run this with my husband. I really was thinking I'd be 2hrs 45 minutes, but somehow I managed 2:30. I was sooo close to beating that 2:30 pacer. I'd say i... read more

Definately a success in my book! Nice to exceed your expectations. I find that after having been running for a few years on and off I hold onto my running fitness easier even without doing the runs. Maybe the same is true for you.

What a miracle I got myself to run after work. It was a wake up call to just how out of shape I am.

Great effort getting back to it. So tough to do a session after a working day so great to see your mental toughness won out

Well at least I'm making it to run on Saturdays with the ladies. I guess one day a week is better than nothing.

Totally true! Even with just one run a week at least your keeping things rolling over. Nice effort with the 5 miler!

Hi running! It's me. Hadn't ran due to some health issues and per doctors orders, then I just didn't have it in me to run. Today I got out the door and it was the therapy I needed. ... read more

Great return to Tracy! I hear what you say... when your not feeling great it's always tougher to do anything that requires effort that you can get away with missing out on but where running is concerned it can be a huge stress reliever. Fantastic that it did the job this time:-) Keep up the good fight!

    alright T.O.U. Half 13.1 mi 02:43 12:26 pace

Just finishing this half was a success. There are reasons I took it slow :) Good reasons..anyway it was a beautiful course and my husband PR'd. Yay for another half in the books.

  9. RUN

Suffering major fatigue lately and busy busy busy. I hope I can make it through next weekends half marathon.

I don't think there's much (if any) risk of you not getting through the half marathon. You won't have lost all your fitness since you ran your 9.5 miler a week ago although your pace may have come down slightly. Probs best to think of it as an experiment to see how your body reacts to doing less in the 1-2 weeks before a race. Essentially whatever happens the world will keep on spinning and you'll be no worse off:-)

Downhill canyon run, getting these legs ready for our next race. It was 45 degrees at the start. So refreshing!!

  13. RUN
    good 11 mi

Up & early to meet some friends. We took it easy with a 5.5 mile up the canyon and ran down. Hamstring is still being annoying.

  14. RUN
    good 3.1 mi

    Short run at the gym.

  15. RUN
    great 5 mi

Little shake out run. Quads/hips a little sore from the downhill yesterday, but not as bad as I thought! I was only going to go 3 today, then I decided 4, then I said why not 5.

Finally I got by butt out of bed and met some friends to run at 5:30 this morning. It sure makes a difference before the inferno sets in.

Great effort getting a workout done at that early time. I don't think it ever gets easier to get out of bed at that sort of time but I do generally find that I have a better start to the day when I get some exercise done early.
