  1. Been a while since I've posted DM friends, but it's because I have to upload via Garmin Connect and Training Peaks working with my coach and it's too much repetition and updating. Ne... read more

  2. RUN
    injured TYS10K 10 km 00:51 08:12 pace

Worst experience ever. Groin pull. Walking with a cane now. Let's get better 2013! My confidence can't handle it!

  3. RUN
good Lulu run club 6 km 00:40 10:43 pace

Some bum pain but slow and steady fun run with the lulu crew on the way to Flipswitch so Vanessa and I could get these runners to the mat! What an amazing night - warm breeze, short sleeves :)

  4. FIT
    good Pilates at Flipswitch 01:00

A good way to spend your lunch is to squeeze pilates balls, hold other balls, breathe, do core, glute work, etc. Thanks @Flipswitch!

  5. swim
    great Drills and laps 2150 m 01:05 48:39 pace

Am exhausted but as there was only a bit of speed work, I felt decently strong. Worked on my breathing and figured a few things out by playing around with rotation and calming my throat/neck/mouth.

  6. RUN
    injured Brick 3.2 km 00:20 10:03 pace

Off the bike run. Loads of pain so stopped early.

glad to see you stopped. it is such a hard thing to do sometimes, we runners get a little stubborn. but it was the smart thing to do!

Bored but the fire is lit. Gotta get this training back in consistently.

  8. RUN
good Run for Boston 4.7 km 00:26 09:01 pace

A little solo run to clear my mind and think of all the reasons I run, why running is so important to me, what I love from the run community, and all the inspiring people I know. 26:20 for those af... read more

  11. VELO
    good Bile 41.6 km 01:30 17.2mph pace

had to use indoor bikes... Not great but got it done.

  12. swim
    great Drills 1800 m 01:10 62:35 pace

After not going for 1.5 weeks, I broke the cycle of negative thinking around the impending doom of the 70.3 IM and went. Happy!

  13. RUN
great Brick workout 6 km 00:32 08:33 pace

My hammy was not the happiest but legs are starting to get used to the transition. 1 mile right off bike, 4.4 km with Nike run club. A true tri day with am swim and pm bike run.

  14. VELO
good Indoor bike 36 km 01:20 16.8mph pace

ran out of time on this brick, so shortened the bike - intervals and hills - to 1:20!

  15. RUN
good Soaked Tuesday with the Rats 7.33 km 00:44 09:34 pace

Soaked through but it didn't matter. Lots of brave peeps came up including Matt M. so it made for a nice little tempo. Hit some lights on the way back but felt decent.

      You're Badass:

If there was a movie montage of your training, it would totally include a scene of running in the pouring rain. That's a good movie to play back in your mind when the times get tough.
