Great run, sprinted the last 1/2 or so to see at what pace I'd want to puke. We almost found it. http://runmeter.com/6bf389bb4f7f33c0/Run-20130506-1850?r=d.

Glad to see you back!!! It's never easy getting started, but after a few weeks you'll start feeling great. Just take it easy!!! Don't push too hard to early. Looks like you're starting out right.

Thanks, guys. After 6 weeks of "astym," my foot's still bothering me a bit, but I'm trying to take it slow.

FIT
My Basement 01:00
Still nursing the hamstring after the 17 miler last weekend. Elliptical doesn't seem to bother it.

Good job...the key is to maintain your fitness so you don't fall behind. Roll, stretch, ice, Motrin?, or whatever it takes to care for your hamstring. They can take a while to heal. Go easy on it when you do run as it loosens up. Keep training!

Keep cross training, doing an exercise that maintains fitness, but does not aggravate the hamstring. I don't know if they make a hamstring compression sleeve, but that would be great. I use a compression sleeve or compression socks if I have an issue with my calves or Achilles until they heal.

walk
injured Run/Walk 3.05 mi 00:37 12:17 pace
I ran for 15 mins and then my hamstring just stopped me, I ended up turning around and walking back. The body's been a bit sketchy since the last long run (17 on Sat).

I love the rain on a warm day. Way to get it done!

I love it on a warm day, too! Unfortunately, we haven't reached that stage! Nonetheless, it wasn't bad.
