Pretty hot out again, but did much better handling the heat today. Pace was still a bit slow, but I have a feeling if the temp. ever gets back down in the 80's it'll pick back up.

  6. So, my car A/C went out today. I had just started a nice drive to a far away place (actually not that far at all) and nothing but hot air started coming out so I cranked down the windows. By the ... read more

You must live in the mid-west...???
Keep a fresh shirt in your car...
I keep a long sleeve pullover (dri weave material) to tie around my waist for going to the store post-workout. In my case it is mostly for modesty purposes to keep the perves from staring at my spandex covered butt, however, it would help with the wet butt syndrome too. :-)

@Alissa, yes, very hot! @Veronica, I'm gonna have to take your advice and put that extra shirt in the car from now on. It'll save people from seeing my sweaty swamp ass!

Are you kidding me? Do you know a Mark Searle? I'm not sure if he still works for Wendy's at Corporate, but that would be crazy if you know him. I went to high school with his son Justin, we played baseball together all through high school so I knew Mark pretty well.

Good run. I came across this inspiring quote from a DM friend - "If you are going to win any battle, you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body tell the mind what to do... the body is never tired if the mind is not tired." - General George Patton. Good luck in your race!

My pleasure Todd. We all need encouragement in the individual challenges that we set. It doesn't matter that we are beginners or experienced, we can all be achievers with the right support. That's the great thing about DM. I love this site ;-)
