RUN
good 2 mi 00:26 12:48 pace
I am happy with my run but my goal was 3 miles. Unfortunately, I was tired after work and had to talk myself into making my run.
-
You still got out there and did it Tina! I find running after work is so tough but its really the onky time I can run during the week. Still a great run and was better than not running at all. :-)

Good work! Good luck on Sunday. Nothing wrong with a run/walk. You are just getting back into it. It's smart of you to not push too hard. I think you're doing awesome :-)

Thanks guys! I am excited about being back. Thank you to all of you who sent me encouragement, I truly appreciated it! :-)
Tiffany, I am not familar with a Ragnar (I guess that's the novice side of me), but the race I am doing is a full marathon with 6 runners a team. It will be my first and it sound fun, I will let you know :-)
Any pointers on training smart? I am open, because my personality likes to just go full force instead of smart. LOL
Have a great day all~ -
I would ease up to the race distance. Don't give yourself any time goals. Aim to finish your leg feeling a little tired, but feeling good. If you ramp up too quick and run it too hard, you could get injured again. Ease the mileage up. Keep up the outside workouts like the one too. It will help you to be a stronger healthier runner. Glad you are back

Its very hard not to get discouraged Tina. Running is an outlet for so much of your soul and well being. Plus it keeps us in fantastic shape too. Take your time and go through the motions of PT. You are so close now! You'll be back out there just in time for spring!! :-)

No reason for the sad face Tina! You did great. You are really too hard on yourself!! The season is young and plenty of time to post some happy ones. Great job today! Congrats to you!

I understand your disappointment. Even though you are rightfully acknowledging that this is your first race in a long time, we all are competitive and hope for home run kinds of performances. Still--I think it is absolutely great that you can race again and that you were able to do this today. Hope you had a good time. And Paul is right--only good stuff ahead for you Tina.
