Thanks, Tim. It seems to be an issue w/ distance and lack of stretching (and a 9-10 hour/day desk job). Just have to remind myself during the day to stretch it out better and to be prepared for it to be cranky when I get my runs started.

Still recovering from the insect bites but at least got good sleep last night. This was an "easy" 7 miles w/ 6 x 50-second 3K-10K pick-ups. Paces felt comfortably hard but can tell that I... read more

Well, that was interesting. The good: got the miles done, rode well throughout, and had zero issues with fuel, fluids, and electrolytes. The bad AND the ugly: that severe storm that hit us at mile ... read more

Nice hill work and testing out your fuel/hydration regimen! Do you tale some kind of complete electrolytes too, e.g. Endurolytes? Good Luck/Good Times/Good Weather next weekend!

Thanks, Michael. All this endurance stuff I've done and never really figured out the fuel thing. Maybe I'm getting there. I do have Endurolytes and will be sure to use them next weekend, especially since it's going to be warmer.

  9. RUN
    good In-Town O/B 5.46 mi 00:53 09:39 pace

  10. RUN
good Loop Loop + Extension 7.35 mi 01:08 09:11 pace

Took awhile to get the feet moving but got into a groove after 2-3 and then ran comfortably throughout. Today's was an easy run + 6x30 second pick-ups (10K-3K pace). Solid mid-week miles.

  11. RUN
good Loop Loop 5.16 mi 00:48 09:18 pace

Easy run with 3 8-second "hill" (or what counts here) sprints. Tough crawling out of bed this morning but grateful to have gotten a few miles in before a long day.
