      When I had my knee injury Oct-Jan, I was seeing the orthropedic while physical therapy 2-3x a week. After the 2 months of no change & the MRI, my the result was that I couldn't run competively anymore. Therefore, as us runners do not like to hear those words, I decided to see a Chiropractor who got me running again the very next day. I want you to keep your chin up and to know that there are other options. Healing prayers sent & please keep us posted.

      What sucks though is that insurance doesn't cover the orthotics or the laser cold therapy and it's not cheap. BUT, I want to get back to pounding the pavement, so I'll have to suck it up. I will let you know how things go over the next week. Thanks for checking in on me!

      I love that running is a social sport. I can't wait for our group marathon training to start in July. The conversations just help the miles fly by. I always looked forward to Saturday mornings with the group...not so much the lonely weekday runs though. Nice 5!

      Way to go! Good idea to run w/the pace group & slower especially adding 3 miles to your run. I'm proud of you! I know your legs are probably more sore today, but the best thing to do the day after a long race is to take a brisk walk for 1-2 miles to stretch them speeds up recovery. You will feel better by Wednesday. It works!

      keep stretching out your calves out & Ice wrap your shins and angles too! Wear pants on race day & KT tape up your shins for compression per the KT instruction. If my shins are bothering me before a race, I tape mine up and I don't feel a thing!
