@Debra- I've never worn a hydration belt but I do have one of those handheld small water carrying containers. I definitely prefer not carrying anything but in the summer it is just about a must!

@Katie- I do use my Garmin. I really need to figure out how to use more features on it so this was just the basic start and stop. I reset my watch after each 800. If it said .51 I would subtract 1 second. It would just depend on when I stopped it. If it said .50 then I considered my time accurate. I don't keep track of my time or distance on my recovery but I know that I do the half lap and added up the extra mileage at the end in my head and estimated recovery pace.

To me, these types of workouts are easier on a treadmill. When I can just set the pace and maintain. Doing it at the track requires me to constantly fight to keep up the pace!
