great Long Run 28.19 km 02:47 09:30 pace

Wanted to try something new for this long run. In stead of always running in the same area I took the train to an area I didn't know and tried to run home from their. Actually really refreshing and fun until I just suddenly arrived back at the point where I started after 16k or something while I thought I was heading home :p. So in stead of 27k I ran a bit more and then walked another 3k to get home but I didn't care since I felt like I could just keep running today! Only had to stop because obviously my joints and legs still have to get used to these distances but was hardly tired and an avg heart rate of only 145 bpm! Happy with the pace as well, didn't go for a specific pace but faster then 6:00 min/km is always nice on a long run :). HM distance in 2:05:20 this time, getting closer :p!

Great run on a new route! Unfortunately, there is not much in the way of public transit here, so I'd have to have a buddy drop me in the country somewhere and run home from there.

Great idea to start from another location. It is fantastic that you did it with such a low HR for an excellent pace and that you felt like you could have kept going! That is exactly how you want to be feeling after these long runs.

Thomas, love the running and the attitude and the distance and pace. Great job my man. I also tried a new route today but wasn't that smart to get dropped off in a remote location. Have to try that. My HM time was 2.06 so very similar to yours .
Ps... Which marathon are you training for?

Wow Thomas, that's amazing! And considering you still had 5 miles to go, that 2:05 HM time can easily be whittled down below 2 hours!
