Had to fight with myself to plan for the interval run. A tempo run is much more easier than an Interval run. Body was pushing me to plan for a tempo, but I was scheduled for an Interval run. Finally settled for a 800m * 5 interval run with 400m Recovery Interval.

Target was to be consistent across my intervals and also across my recovery. Pretty challenging to push the pace from recovery to interval runs. But happy that I finished strong. Wishing all a Happy Holi and the wonderful women a Happy Womens day.


Very consistent intervals and recovery too. In fact your recovery pace is pretty good. I am scheduled for interval on Saturday with 400 m rest intervals. I have always done time based rest interval (like 1:00 min RI) and never done distance rest interval. So, wondering what should be my pace for rest interval.

@Nitin, there is no recommendation for the Recovery Interval Pace. Initially the focus should be to consistent across the intervals. The objective of the RI is to maintain consistency during the intervals.
