      Hmmm South hero? Haven't heard of this. Will google. July marathon because there isn't many marathons near me and it a night race. Start time is at 9pm so might not be so hot.

      Thank you Valerie. Sorry didn't see this until today. My legs were sore and my IT band was cramped on one leg for a week but now I am ready to start training for my next marathon.

    Was very hilly. I took my time. Guess I was pretty slow. I accidentally bumped the GPS and it stopped at mile 4:43. Not sure if I went further than the 10:33 but I know I got my miles in today!

  15. Question: Has anyone used compression socks and do they work? Are they worn during a run?

      I love my compression sleeves! I wear them for most of my runs, since I am still getting back into shape - and I have always had problems with shin splints. Knock on wood - my shins feel great!!! I would highly recommend them!

      I like using them for the long runs and on trails...seems to give just a little more stability, but moreso for after for the recovery benefit. I like CEP.

      Thank you. I have considered purchasing them. Wlll put them on my list of must haves! My legs do get quite sore after long runs. Plus I have been upping my speed which really takes a toll on these old legs. lol!
