It was a decent run - I hadn't gotten out in several days. Still awfully cold.

Yeah, I'm over the cold. I woke up this morning and the sun was shining and I was ready to head out for a nice 5 miler and then I looked at the temp...cancelled that run real fast. Great run Brian

I haven't been on cross country skis in many years (I tried once when I lived in NW Ohio, but I had a problem with the boots and/or bindings so it was just frustrating), but my dad gave me a new-to-me pair of boots and another pair of skis, so I got a ... read more

Great workout Brian. Sounds like fun and love that your kids think you are their sled dog.

Today just felt like a good day to go fast!

  4. greatSouth Bank/Lake/Bickel Church... 8.33 mi / 01:03 07:33 pace

Talk about night and day difference... yesterday by the time I was 2 miles out, I was bored and it seemed like I'd run forever...

Today I felt like I *could* run forever... about 20 minutes into the run, I saw another runner ahead, and I worked my ta... read more

Awesome pace! I felt like I could run forever tonight as well. Although I was keeping near the pace you were!

It was a good day for a run, but I felt like I was out there forever. There are days when the podcast is awesome. Not today. Nothing like running in farm country with a boring podcast.

lol! especially with it being winter on top of that. way to stick it out!

I scored our first goal, and that opened the floodgates. We won something like 8-1. I scored twice.

SCOOOOOOOORRRRRRREEEEEEEEE! Sounds like fun Brian. Way to start the scoring spree.

The wind was a lot stronger than I thought it would be, and it was colder than I'd expected (20 degrees with windchill of 5) - I almost turned back and went home. But once I'd put in the first mile or so, I got used to it.

    • Brian F. Brian F.

Way to withstand that wind.. it was brutal earlier. Hopefully it will ease up and it'll start to warm up a bit

In one word: brutal. In more words: I didn't realize it was THAT cold and windy this evening. It was frigid, and the wind whipped right through me. I was wearing my warmest tech-shirt, but it wasn't enough without a windbreaker layer. Time to thaw o... read more

I felt the same way when I went outside. The sun today here was deceptive in making you think that it was warmer, but a cold day of running is better than a day without running.

It was a decent run - though I forgot a few things. First of all, I don't know how I decided the wind direction, but somehow I predicted the wrong direction. So I ran out with the wind, which felt fantastic... but coming back, the wind was whipping d... read more

On my run yesterday I swear that every time I had an uphill run the wind was in my face making all the more harder. Sometimes I wonder about that Murphy guy and his stupid law. LOL But it was still a good run. :)
