Here on the south side we managed to avoid it. I should have a clear spot for a post swim run today, should I so choose. But, yep. We gots nothing but the wet stuff falling from the sky for days now. I shall try to embrace. At least it will be warmer.

You are slowly inspiring me with these early AM runs. I am notoriously a solo runner, have been always. But there is a group that runs in my area that runs super early and I've been tempted to join them lately. There honestly is no better way to start the day.

The key is to go to bed early enough at night so you can still get a good night's sleep. I have no issues hitting the bed at 8 at night when I know I'm getting up that early the next day.

Excellent pace. I think with a course that sounds to have a few hills (and a little wind and drizzle) you can chalk that up to circumstances. BTW, an uphill in the last half mile is mean ;-)
