3 out and back loops along Columns Drive. Beautiful day for a long run. Trying to jump-start my marathon training. Can't say I felt wonderful, but got it done without compromising pace. No... read more

  2. RUN
    alright Listless 4 4.1 mi 00:40 09:42 pace

Actually 4.1, but it was hard. Not sure why I've been so tired, but that's just how it is. The weather was beautiful. Finally starting to look like spring.

  3. RUN
    good Another zippy 3 3.01 mi 00:28 09:23 pace

The runs this week have been short, but surprisingly quick for this old man. I can remember the days that a 9 minute hurt because it was so slow. 30 years of running makes one humble and even mor... read more

We were hoping to run as many as 10 this morning, but some unexpected issues came up that significantly delayed getting out as planned. Once we did, we only had time for 3 miles before meeting oth... read more

So we were woken up by the sound of thunder at 0600 this morning and it looked like today's run was going to be a wash. It's been quite a while since we've gone out in this kind of ... read more

I'm so jealous! We used to travel to Texas regularly and always sought out the Firehouse Sub shops. They are the best and I so wish we had them here up in the Northwest! Their Italian is incredible too. Great run! Running in the rain really can be fun. Oh, and great movie reference. That's a super cute one!

great 10 Flat out (and back) miles 10.01 mi 01:41 10:04 pace

Even after 30+ years of running (I started in 1982) running can still perplex and surprise you. After yesterday's fail, Kelli and I decided to head to the Big Creek Greenway, where it's ... read more

Intent was to run 11 this morning, and for some reason, we selected the hilliest "favorite" route, the one we love to hate around Lake Windword. There is not a flat inch on the entire 5.... read more

Work has been wearing me out, so I'm beat by the time I get home, and moving out the door to run was an effort today. It would have been so easy to just crack open a beer and watch Sports Cen... read more

    great Brookwood 6 6.07 mi 00:58 09:32 pace

Sweet run, especially after yesterday's 6. Kelli and I took turns setting the pace on this chilly windy AM run, with our goal being all miles under 10. Made it pretty easily.

      Nice Job:

Isn't it funny how so often when we have trouble motivating our bodies that once we get them out everything melts away and you feel so good! Excellent way to jump back into the game after the half!
