good Mojo Run Group 3.33 mi 00:28 08:22 pace

Soaked! We got caught in a downpour at the start, and we stayed close to the store because storms were close. Still, it was a nice run.

Hot and steamy. 86 when I started; 87 when I finished. After the Cleveland Marathon on Sunday and tonight's run, I think I'm on the advanced acclimation plan. I'm quite okay with tha... read more

Well, it did help that I didn't run the marathon all out. That was by design, and when I started getting tired in the last mile I shut it down before I did any real damage. I didn't want to risk delaying starting fall marathon training for a race that was just for something to do. But yes, this is a very fast recovery, the quickest I've had to date. I think I was due after how long it took me to recover from Shamrock.

Well, this was a first for me. This was my 15th marathon, but it's the first one I've ever done on a whim. After how well I did in the Pittsburgh Marathon 5K and Half Marathon 2 weeks ago... read more

Thanks! It was very good. The course is fast. If it weren't for all the turns I'd say blazing fast (on a cool day), but it's still a fast track. The best part was having the stadium and its plethora of bathrooms both before and after the race. Bag check was in the air conditioned suites, so we were able to cool off from the heat.

great Da 'hood 3.7 mi 00:30 08:06 pace

What a gorgeous morning for a run. Gonna do my long run tomorrow, so this was nice and easy. I threw in 7 strides near the end to wake up my legs.

  8. RUN
    good Treadmill 7 mi 00:52 07:28 pace

My allergies were not good again this evening, so I opted to stay inside so that I could have a good run. This was the right choice. Going to run nice and easy tomorrow.

Nice job Mark, sorry about the allergies, I think we're all having some of that now. Must be the season again.

Funny, I know I didn't run the whole, but all my DM friends seemed to have run about 5 miles this week as a recovery run. It felt good :)
