  1. RUN
good Broadway at the Beach 3 mi 00:26 08:46 pace

A couple stops for stretching. It seems to stave off the shin splints.

  2. RUN
tired Halfway Park 3 mi 00:31 10:12 pace

Southern boy's lungs aren't used to the cold! Ran pretty slow since I hadn't been running lately.

  6. RUN
good Broadway at the Beach 2.97 mi 00:28 09:16 pace

A little sore from my first run in a while the other day. Loosened up quickly. Felt good.

  7. RUN
alright Broadway at the Beach 2.5 mi 00:26 10:24 pace

My first run in a while after taking off a few months from some rather annoying injuries that wouldn't go away. My legs felt fine, but my chest was tight after not doing it in a while. Felt ... read more

  8. RUN
injured Pounding sand. 2.2 mi 00:21 09:27 pace

WARM!!! The sand is soft, but I still wish I had dog knees that bent the opposite way. Maybe then it wouldn't hurt.

Those are some pretty insane heart rates, dude. Are you normally that elevated?

Definitely above normal. Knew I wouldn't be able to hit my normal 3.5 miles on sand, so I made it a harder 2+ miles with a couple of breaks. Mile 2 was much slower b/c/o fatigue and pain. It was also FREAKING HOT.

  9. RUN
injured Pounding sand 3.5 mi 00:34 09:47 pace

Why won't the shin splints ever go away? Also, knee pain flared up. LAME!

  10. RUN
alright Pounding sand. 3.53 mi 00:36 10:11 pace

Soft sand is SLOW. The tide was high, so I had to zig-zag a lot to find the firmest sand. Tough work.

  11. RUN
    good Pounding sand 3.5 mi

Remembered to bring my watch & monitor, but must've accidentally hit the stop button at some point. Wind was coming straight in off the coast, so it wasn't one direction into it and ... read more

good Right around the beach...boy! 3.5 mi

Took a month off for shin splints and achilles and knee pain. Had an MRI on the knee (waste of time). The doc didn't see anything. A different doc didn't see anything last time around ... read more

  13. RUN
    good Beach: 38th to 14th & back. 3.5 mi

Hadn't been out in a while. I was giving my heels a chance to heal. (Haha. See what I did there?)

Didn't run hard at all. Just a slow jog. Forgot the heartrate monitor and watch. F... read more

  14. RUN
    alright Broadway 3.17 mi 00:27 08:38 pace

It was okay. Can't really stretch my right calf/calve because of the slight achilles tear at the heel. It doesn't hurt while running, only stretching. So, I wasn't very loose. Ic... read more

  15. RUN
good Pinehurst Village 3 mi 00:27 08:59 pace

Just a relaxed 3-miler. Hadn't run in over a week due to a hectic schedule.

A little bit worried that while stretching my right calf/calve(?), I felt a sudden pain in my heel that I assume w... read more

Intervals - a mix of sprinting & easy jogging. Lower legs were screaming afterward. The ice packs got a good workout too.
