FLEXING JOG: My bpm shoots up when I'm wearing my warm winter coat, so this one became almost a threshold training run; just couldn't jog with slow enough pace to keep the bpm below the aerobic threshold all the time. Also, the route was all icy, mostly that bumpy ice on which at least you cannot really slip and fall but which might just twist your ankle. (There was also some smooth and rather slippery ice, but not too slippery this time since it was such a cold morning that ice had some friction to it.)
