Today's race was a class meet so all of the juniors ran together in one race. The top three in each class counts for school recognition and my school only has three junior girls so, needless to say, I was feeling the pressure. I walked to the line knowing I had to pee, but I thought I could hold it and I didn't have time to go to the bathroom anyways. The first two miles went by fairly well, but then I REALLY started to have to pee. I actually started getting cramps because I was holding it in so much. Anyways, I had to walk a few steps during the last 1/4 mile of the race but then finished strong sprinting neck-and-neck with another girl. She beat me as I crossed the line, but I felt like I did well considering the circumstances.

Lesson learned: If you have to pee...go pee. You'll regret trying to hold it in.
