It was a great run. The fog is awesome to run in down in the south bay. The east bay fog is really cold.

  7. RUN
good Coyote Hills loop 5.86 mi 00:52 08:51 pace

I am almost ready for the marathon on 12/2. My big concern now is injuring myself. My only goal is to put in the miles with no fancy speed work or anything like that.

  10. RUN
good coyote hills loop 5.52 mi 00:48 08:36 pace

Small hills are hard. It feels like my endurance is coming back. I keep reminding myself to not rush things. I am going to run the whole 4 mile stretch through Sacramento from mile 22-26.

  11. RUN
good Don Edwards loop 7.43 mi 01:11 09:35 pace

A nice recovery run with company. I am already looking forward to my Saturday long run across the Golden Gate Bridge and into the hills. I hope it is foggy in SF.

Your long run sounds like a nice plan - what trails do you connect to after crossing the bridge?

I will taking the SCA trail, right up the hill to the left of the bridge, to Rodeo Valley trail to Mwock to bunker hill road. I hope it takes 9-11 miles to get to the water stop down at the beach next to the barracks. I will be leaving the ampetheater by the warming hut between 8:30 and 9:00, if you would like to join me. I have to say hi to Sesa before I leave. She will be setting up a cookie monster race there.

  14. RUN
good Don Edwards loop 6.65 mi 01:04 09:35 pace

I am looking forward to taper time in November. I will stop lifting weights in November. It wears me out when I run on a leg day. The Don Edwards loop is pretty nice but it was hot.

  15. RUN
good Coyote hills small loop 4.71 mi 00:41 08:38 pace

It was really hot today. I did a one mile warmup followed by four 1/4 mile pickups with 1/4 mile jogs in between. It has been a while since I did that. It hurt.

  16. RUN
good Coyote hills big loop 7.12 mi 01:09 09:38 pace

It was hot today. Running on the same day as lifting weights with my legs is getting easier. I don't know if I will feel the same way in the morning but right now I feel good.

  17. RUN
good Alameda long run 18.04 mi 03:25 11:20 pace

It was hot today! I went out to visit the air craft carrier at Alameda point during my run.

I did get to see John and Carey out for their long run. They are getting really strong.
