    I had it in my mind I would run 5 miles today. When I got to mile 1.5, that changed. The soreness in my calves came back throbbing hardcore, and started to cause shin splints:( It is defintely the change in shoes.

      Were you wearing the Brooks shoes? Bummer that they made your feet hurt. :( I almost bought some Nikes this weekend--Caleb got the new Nike Frees and I got some Mizunos. Anyways, hope the injury is short-lived!

      I had a pair of Brooks that also gave me shin splints. They were way to rigid for me. Feel better!

    Good! Did some good full body workout on the bouldering walls at vertical urge. I am STILL so sore.

    Didn't want to push this one. Kept up good cardio and ran some hills Still experiencing stuff going on with my calves- is this normal? New shoes make my feet hurt more. MAybe I just need to break them in.

      I've been looking into new insoles. Mainly for my hiking boots but considering my running shoes too. Any suggestions?

      I only had professional inserts put in for cross-country (but that was some time ago). Let me know what you find!

      I get sore calves sometimes when I'm dehydrated. Hopefully it's just the newness of the shoes.

      Nice run. The shoes that I am currently in took about 6 runs to break in...I hated them at first and now I am thinking about buying another pair.

    Stay motivated through crappy weather!

    Great first start-- then kinda dragged around 3 miles. I think my body needs a little adjustment to new shoes (over a couple of runs).

    Want to make this week a good week.

    Ran with my new shoes! Mind wasn't in it beforehand, but that changed when I got to work with the shoes.

    I actually ran a random route (making it up as I go) and it turned into the perfect 5k practice route. Cool, huh?
