I'm with you. Tonight's run was brutal. The wind made me feel like I was running in place on a treadmill. Argh.

Are you planning on the Topeka Tinman in June? If so, what distance?

The only firm plans I have at this point is the Branson half in Sept. It would be good to do some others along the way though, schedule and finances permitting!

more power to ya! have you researched the branson race? It intimidates me. From what I can tell even the swim is uphill!

I saw what you sent out a few weeks ago, about the number of DNF's. If there was an easier half in the area, I'd take a good look at doing that. But this was really the only one I could find that wouldn't involve much travel. It has a flat run course, which is great. It's the bike route that's the killer. But I've rode in those hills before so I kind of know them and will probably get a chance to train in them during the summer.
