My lofty goal for this race was to be able to run the entire distance without walking, since I the last time I ran more than 2 miles without stopping was 1/30 (when I ran 8), and I did it!! I want to thank my running buddy, Susan, for keeping me going. She did awesome and was kicking ass on the hills - and there were a lot of hills! I was very unimpressed with the pre-race since even getting there an hour early and being pre-registered we were unable to get through the crazy line to get our race packets and ultimately we ended up just giving up on the line and running without numbers, deciding that our shirts weren't that important, and going by watch time. Also very proud of my husband who raced "with" me today for meeting his goal of running sub-7's to finish in 30 minutes and met me at the finish with my beer. It was chilly at the start but we just missed the snow so it was all in all a good morning - next year if we do it we'll preregister at a local running shop rather than online and get our packets there.

Awesome job :) Glad I got to run the whole thing with you!! I needed that since I wasn't feeling it a whole lot! Thank goodness the snow held off until we were done :)

Great run Laurie. What a crazy race! Lots of people and freaking cold, too.

Nice run Laurie. I agree, it was one of the worst check-ins I have ever seen for a popular race.

Congrats on reaching your goal. I agree the registration was a mess! I got my bib seconds before it started, and then just held back a few minutes.

Great job! Just FYI, I pre-registered the past two years, and you still had to pick up your shirt on race day (which makes no sense to me, but whatever). Maybe it would have still helped you, though. It really is a fun race!
