I agree with Susan, I wish I could have gone with you. We are supposed to get a bunch on snow up here. Sigh, back on the trainer

hang in there, you were already frustrated when you went in there tonight so it had to have influenced your swim tonight. Next time will be better.

Thanks but it was actually coach frustration. I think some coaches, like people, don't think the same way you do. I felt like I went backward last night will all the "pointers" or whatever they were supposed to be. We'll see about swimming today - part of me wants to go prove to myself again that I really do know how to swim and part of me just wants a break.

Needed just some recovery cardio and decided to take advantage of the beautiful afternoon. Picked up my daughter after preschool, we grabbed her bike and headed over to Clement with her promise that she'd slow down for me today so I could walk and not ... read more

My lofty goal for this race was to be able to run the entire distance without walking, since I the last time I ran more than 2 miles without stopping was 1/30 (when I ran 8), and I did it!! I want to thank my running buddy, Susan, for keeping me going.... read more

Awesome job :) Glad I got to run the whole thing with you!! I needed that since I wasn't feeling it a whole lot! Thank goodness the snow held off until we were done :)

Congrats on reaching your goal. I agree the registration was a mess! I got my bib seconds before it started, and then just held back a few minutes.

Great job! Just FYI, I pre-registered the past two years, and you still had to pick up your shirt on race day (which makes no sense to me, but whatever). Maybe it would have still helped you, though. It really is a fun race!

Laurie swam for 1 hour greatIt's official! – 01:00
It's official I can swim!!!! I have no idea how far I went but I spent the whole hour swimming to the halfway point of the pool and back. I need to build up the endurance to get all the way to the other end (this pool is longer than the one at my gym) ... read more

While waiting for my class to start in the yoga studio, I walked .8 miles on the treadmill at 3% and talked to sometimes teacher Mike. Then yoga with Terry - yea, Terry's back! Lots of balance stuff - my favorites. Felt so good to be back in yoga class... read more

My friend Shareen has been suggesting her yoga class. Stretching and abs are on my workout schedual 2 x's a week. I should go. It's tough for me to go after work. All I want to do when I get off is go home and watch veg.

It's on our w/o schedule too for twice a week which was, in part, the reason I needed to get back into it. The other is I know when I do it regularly how much better I feel and how less prone to injury I am. You should do it!

Laurie swam for 40 mins goodUgly Success – 00:40
I've had a feeling that a breakthrough was coming and today I made it across the pool a few times non-stop. It wasn't pretty, maybe a step above a doggy-paddle. I forgot my goggles so it could have been better if I wasn't alternatively running into the... read more

I'm gonna make you buy two pairs of goggles and one goes in your car for when you forget the other pair.

I don't know about the burping we'll just have to see what Leslie says.
I used to burp so dang much last year... it was because I would turn for air and gasp/gulp in so much air that I would burp my whole way through the workouts. Now that I breath more naturally I don't really burp any more. LOL
