Rainy run today, but it felt good!

  2. RUN
good to chiropractor and back 4 mi

Decided to fit in a run by running to my chiro appt and back. Took me up a huge hill on the way there, so it was a tough one!

  3. RUN
good on Alki Trail 5.8 mi

My first run after last weekend's race. It was great to run with Alma and Sally again! I felt nervous I would feel sluggish or sore or even worse, in pain, but luckily my body was fine.

  4. RUN
    good Point Defiance "30k" 19.85 mi 03:54 11:48 pace

Such a fun race. I absolutely loved the trails at Point Defiance, from wide and flat to barely there and full if obstacles. The climbs and the Gnarley descent were a challenge! Ran my little heart ... read more

  6. RUN
    good nothin' fancy 4 mi

Here's my new annoyance: is a runner required to announce herself when coming up behind someone, and if so, what is the best way to do it? Multiple times I have had people jump or scream if I ... read more

I hate it when bikes whiz by with no warning, so I always warn people "coming up on your left" (or right). I say it as calmly and quietly as I can, and still they sometimes jump. I'd rather jump at something someone says, rather than just have someone suddenly appear, but maybe that's just me.

That is a peeve of mine too. I love scaring people by saying on your left - how they didn't hear my loud footsteps and heavy breathing always floors me - way to be aware of your surroundings people <<rant over>>

Ha, maybe we should take is as a compliment that our footfalls are nice and quiet? And I agree that it is surprising people aren't more aware of their surroundings.

The Ultra Vesta by Ultimate Direction. It is a women's vest. I have nothing to compare it to, but it worked great!

Fantastic run exploring new-to-me trails at Seward Park. Some were wide and easily runable, some I was jumping over logs and ducking underneath branches. What a fun treat!
