  1. RUN
good Discovery Park Trail Loop 5.4 mi 00:53 09:48 pace

Wow. I don't know how I pulled this off, guessing it was because I ran with my speedier friend Ray! Fastest two laps I have ever done at Discovery Park, and this was my second workout today!

  2. swim
good at the pool 1200 yd

So quiet at the pool this morning, I was the only one there for half my swim! Looking forward to a trail run tonight, too.

  3. RUN
good hills and strides 4.5 mi

Needed this run this morning. Now hopefully I am ready to approach the rest of the day with the same strength.

  4. RUN
good with Sally 9 mi 01:34 10:26 pace

Started feeling sluggish, ended feeling great. Had a wonderful run with Sally from Gasworks to the arboretum, up Madison then through Cap Hill and back to Gasworks. Such a fun route!

  5. RUN
good Discovery Park Trail Loop 5.5 mi 00:55 10:00 pace

First loop I was cruisin. Second loop I was walking a lot. Loved every second of this trail!

My first time ever swimming where I felt great the entire time. I also realized that counting laps is kind of meditative, I just repeated the numbers in my head, blocking out everything I didn'... read more

  9. swim
    good at the pool 00:40

Didn't count laps this time. But I am still slow, haha. I thought long arms were an advantage in swimming?!

  10. RUN
good hills for breakfast 3.9 mi

Ran to Admiral hill, up 1/2 mi, back down, to Avalon hill, up 1/2 mi, back down, then home. Felt great the whole time, woo hoo! Once home I did a strength workout. Then I ate my second breakfast, h... read more

  11. RUN
good on Alki trail 5 mi

Kept my pace in low 9's, which was a good challenge. It is still so hot out in the morning! Ugh.

  12. RUN

Super duper hard, and super duper fun. Can't wait for my next trail race!

  13. RUN
good at Lincoln Park 4.7 mi 00:49 10:25 pace

Such a fun run! My friend met me and we got in some speed and some monster hill climbs. Still deciding how much I love the new shoes, but they overall felt great tonight.

    Great swim this morning, finally!

  15. RUN
good in new shoes 4 mi

So much fun to hit the trails!

Nice to be back in the pool today, even if I was moving slow. Still can not get the hang of breathing on both sides while doing crawl stroke, it is so frustrating!

Have you tried standing in the shallow end bit with your top half in position and practicing? Might help just to get the movement memorization down.
