Ran up and down not one but two mtns today! Stacey and I planned to do 2 hrs, but it was such a gorgeous day and we had so much fun exploring new-to-us trails we kept going. Slow pace bc of tons an... read more

Yeah, Sally, sorry you are leaving paradise behind! And thankfully I did miss the rain :) Although it actually wouldn't have been bad because it is so warm today!

  3. RUN
good at Cougar Mountain 5 mi

Met the HHRG and took it nice and slow. And short, haha.

  4. RUN
good around the hood and Alki 7.75 mi

Felt like going on a longer mid-week run and it was so much fun. Climbed Admiral hill and looped back along Alki. It has been forever since I have run that far on the road! I felt so speedy.

  5. RUN
    Alki Trail 3 mi 00:28 09:09 pace

Felt good enough to attempt some speed work, which means I keep my watch running through stop lights and try to finish under 30 mins. This is by far the fastest I have run in a few months!

  6. RUN
    Cougar Mtn 7 mi

I forgot to add this from Sat. Ran at Cougar with the HHRG through the snow! It was amazing!

  7. RUN
good yoga then run at Lincoln Park 3 mi

Yessss! Thanksgiving yoga class followed by my first run since the marathon. I felt a bit creaky on the run, but otherwise it was great!

  8. RUN
good Grand Ridge Trail marathon 26.7 mi 06:16 14:04 pace

These are my Garmin results from the Grand Ridge Trail race. It was so. hard. And amazing. All the thoughts will be posted on the blog soon!

  10. RUN
good at Cougar Mountain 7 mi

Rainy and muddy fun at Cougar Mtn this morning. Last long run before the marathon! Hope my shoes dry out in time ;)

  11. RUN
good strength and short run 2 mi

Morning in the gym with Sarah and a short run with the pup in the afternoon.

  12. RUN
good Cougar Mountain 14.6 mi 03:30 14:23 pace

Ah.may.zing. long run today with Stacey at Cougar Mtn. How is it that this felt awesome and just two days ago 3.5 felt impossible?!

  13. RUN
good Bridle Trails State Park 3.5 mi

Yet another run I could not finish. Ugh. I have straight up run out of mental toughness, which doesn't bode well for a looming trail marathon.

  14. RUN
good in the rain 3.4 mi

Nothing exciting, except for the rain!

  15. RUN
good at Carkeek Park 10 mi 02:25 14:30 pace

Not sure how far, 10-11 miles. My watch sucks. Very hilly traipse through the park and lots of trees/branches down on the trail!

  16. RUN
good Discovery Park Trail Loop 5.6 mi

Yoga then 2 loops at Discovery Park. First one great, second one sucky. Been that sort of week, I guess. Curious how my 3 hr run goes this weekend!

Rainy run today, but it felt good!

  18. RUN
good to chiropractor and back 4 mi

Decided to fit in a run by running to my chiro appt and back. Took me up a huge hill on the way there, so it was a tough one!

  19. RUN
good on Alki Trail 5.8 mi

My first run after last weekend's race. It was great to run with Alma and Sally again! I felt nervous I would feel sluggish or sore or even worse, in pain, but luckily my body was fine.

  20. RUN
    good Point Defiance "30k" 19.85 mi 03:54 11:48 pace

Such a fun race. I absolutely loved the trails at Point Defiance, from wide and flat to barely there and full if obstacles. The climbs and the Gnarley descent were a challenge! Ran my little heart ... read more
