What a great run! And I agree. I did end up going to my chiropractor for mine. He has me taking a joint supplement. Hopefully it helps.

Sorry about your knees, have you been fitted at a running store for shoes? sometimes my knees ache when my shoes are too old.

I haven't yet been fitted for shoes. Mine are still considered new I bet but probably not fit for my feet. I did buy a wrap and it helped a ton!!

    great 3.73 mi 00:28 8.0mph pace

first "REAL" bike ride in a long time. not to bad considering 80% was hills

    • Bo A. Nice Job
      Nice Job:

The "first real" sets your benchmark... You got a 12.9km/h pace (not bad for a first real in hilly conditions). Now you need to work on keeping it there then bettering it.

Keep the workouts coming... but don't push too hard on the knee for now... don't want to add injury to injury... but you also don't want it to stiffen up from not using it and what ever injury its complaining about.

  8. Haven't logged my workouts well other than time. Spent 45 mins on eliptical Sunday before the pool.

  9. On the weekend Ran/Walked over 12 miles in Relay for Life 24 hour event. I had only 1 hour of sleep, in the backseat of my tiny car. OUCH on the neck and back!

I had to sneak in some sleep somewhere. I had been up over 27 hours and was starting to drag. I went strong after my nap for another 9 hours. I love participating in great causes!

When I was training for a race I ran downhill a lot and suffered the same thing. The pain sounds like you might be having some issues with ITBS. (Iliotibial Band). I had to take 2 weeks off from running. Also I had to stretch and ice it often. I hope it's feel better!

I see that you've been on dailymile, but I don't see you posting any workouts. Are you in a recovery stage?

Stacy... I have a simple run and walk but didn't log my time or distance over the weekend. I think my knees are ready to take on the road again I know my mental state needs it! :)
